Hi, I'm Jim Burke. I've been a fiddler and a fiddle teacher for more than three decades. I've done other things too, but none of them has been as much fun as fiddling and helping others learn to play.

I know from experience that it can be very difficult for an aspiring player to find good resources for learning to play. It's relatively easy to find a good private violin teacher for the beginning player; but finding a good private teacher for the early-stage fiddler is another matter entirely. They tend to be a little scarce.

Fortunately, I think, internet technology has advanced to the point where good, useful fiddle lessons and instruction can be delivered online. I'm doing what I can do at my website, fiddlehub.com, and on my blog, fiddle-lessons.yrnot.com, to do just that. I'm really working at it, and I'd be very glad to hear whether you think I'm succeeding.
